How do I make a reservation for a youth retreat?

Can I change a reservation after it's been made?
Yes. The best way to do this is by contacting the group reservations coordinator.
What is the reservation & cancellation policy?
50% deposit due upon booking to hold reservation
Balance due 1 month prior to scheduled event OR upon arrival
In the event of cancellation:
- 3 or more months prior to the event, 50% of the initial deposit will be refunded
- less than 3 months, the deposit will be forfeited

What amenities can I expect from Loon Lake?
Recreational experiences at Loon Lake are among the finest - expect to be amazed! Are phones available for guest use?
Yes. A pay phone is available outside the dining hall.
What if I need to make a long distance call?
There is a payphone outside of the dining hall; collect calls or phone card calls can be made from here.
Will my cell phone work?
In limited areas.
Can I check my email?
Wireless Internet is available throughout most of the camp. Please contact the coordinator for a password.Are the facilities wheelchair friendly?
Yes!
What should I bring?
All guests need to bring sleeping bags, towels and any personal items (including soap, shampoo, etc). For added comfort include a sheet to cover the mattress.
Chances are your group will be taking advantage of the unlimited recreational opportunities available, please bring the following items.
In the warmer months:
- Sunscreen
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Bug repellant and slippers
- Beach towels / swim suits
- Casual clothing / sportswear
In the cooler months:
- Appropriate footwear (if the local news is calling for snow, we advise you to pack your winter boots)
- Rainwear if you plan to be outside
- Appropriate clothing (if the local news is calling for snow, we advise you to pack gloves, hats, jackets, etc.)
How are groups invoiced for their retreat?
Loon Lake will invoice the school / youth organization c/o the group contact person. Youth will not be billed individually. Final payment is due within 30 days. Overdue accounts will be subject to a 2% per month interest charge.
Groups using Pinnacle Pursuits activities and facilitation services will be billed directly by Pinnacle Pursuits.
What are the regular check in and check out times?
Regular check in is at 3pm or later. Check out of rooms is no later than 11am. Regular departure time is at 1pm. If your group requires early arrivals or late departures, please make appropriate arrangements with the group reservations coordinator.
What if some of the students have special dietary requirements?
We are happy to accommodate our guests - please advise group reservations coordinator of any special dietary requirements.
When do I need to provide a final headcount for our group?
A confirmation of the total number of persons in your group is required at least two weeks prior to arrival (this will be the minimum number of persons charged for).

Other things you should know:
- Pets are not permitted
- Smoking is restricted to designated areas only
- Fishing is not permitted
- Sleeping in RV's or campers in the parking lot is not permitted
- Mountain bikes / motorcycles are not permitted on forest trails
- Rooms do not have phones or TV's – a pay phone is available outside the dining hall
- Excessive clean-up / garbage / damage or staff time is invoiced at actual expense
