Every donation, whether big or small, can make a difference.
The Loon Lake Research and Education Centre is the UBC Faculty of Forestry's top fundraising priority.
The growing interest in issues of forestry, conservation, and preservation has created the need for new facilities to accommodate the wide range of visitors the Centre attracts.
UBC and the Faculty of Forestry have approved a $6.9 million project to renovate the Loon Lake Centre. To date, several individuals, corporations, foundations and alumni have generously contributed a total of $4.3 million toward the necessary upgrades.
Funding for the project has reached a critical point. Construction and renovation of many of the Centre's key facilities will depend on securing the remaining $2.6 million in financial support.
