Staff House

It offers great accommodations for large groups that need more space than the students centre and cabins can accommodate or it can be used by a small group that would like to do their own cooking in the self contained kitchen (complete with dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils and a dishwasher). Groups can still use the services of our great kitchen staff and eat in the dining hall (let someone else do the cooking and cleaning). There are 8 bedrooms - 4 up (and 2 bathrooms) and 4 on the main floor (1 wheelchair accessible bathroom). The large great room will easily hold all the guests to watch a video (TV & DVD available), hold a meeting or teach a class. The stone fireplace (wood available) will make the bleakest winter evening seem cozy.

Gymnasium

If health and wellness is the focus of your retreat, you'll want to utilize the brand new gymnasium in the Student Centre. This near full size gym is perfect for all types of physical activity. Whether it's high energy or low key - the picturesque view of the lake is ever inspiring. It's the perfect space to burn off some energy by shooting some hoops, or playing some indoor hockey (plastic equipment only). Some sporting equipment is available; however groups should enquire prior to their arrival if specific activities are planned. If more than 1 group is residing in camp the gymnasium facility must be shared. Please check with the office staff to make arrangements for use.

Dining Hall

For many people coming to Loon Lake, the Dining Hall is the heart of the experience. Mealtime allows people to gather together and share their excitement and experiences.

The dining hall is a 2 minute walk from the sleeping accommodations in camp and and comfortably accommodates up to 90 adults in the winter months and in the summer months an additional 50 can be seated on the outside deck.

The dining hall can be configured for a variety of uses too. If it's raining or snowing, some of the outdoor activities can be moved indoors so nobody has to miss out on the fun.

Our professionally-equipped kitchen and trained staff offer healthy, nutritious meals throughout the day. There are menu options for you to choose from, or you can let our superior kitchen staff plan great meals for you. Just let us know how many people and what time you'd like to eat and you'll be very happy with the results. When more than one group is booked into Loon Lake, guests may be required to share the dining hall with other guests. If your group requires a private lunch, please request this with our Reservations Coordinator. All meals are served buffet style and include coffee, tea, hot chocolate a selection of juices and water as well as dessert with both dinner and lunch.
